Terms

These Terms are a binding contract between you and Wise River, LLC (“we,” “us”), which operates bluntrank.com. If you do not agree, do not use the site, do not create an account, and do not pay.

The Rules and the Privacy Policy are part of this contract. If they conflict, these Terms control. Checking the box on checkout or signup, paying for an entry or a teardown, creating an account, or continuing to use the site after we post a change is your acceptance.

What this is — and is not

bluntrank is a website where people compare landing-page screenshots.

What $10 buys. Paying does not buy a rank, a rating, traffic, leads, placement, endorsement, or a prize. $10 buys 50 matchups for that URL against other entered pages, as described on the site.

The throne. The throne is recognition only. There is no cash prize for holding it.

What we do not promise. We do not promise how fast those 50 matchups finish. That depends on how many people vote. We do not promise a screenshot will capture your live site perfectly, or at all. We do not promise anyone will like your page.

Paid entries

Your page. You represent that you control the URL, that the checkout email is yours, and that you have the right to let us capture, store, and show a screenshot and to link to the live site.

Email. Checkout email must be on that site’s domain except where we say otherwise. Pages we added ourselves cannot be bought.

Payment. Payment is processed by Polar. Their terms apply to the charge. We do not store your card number.

No refunds. All sales are final once the page is entered. No refunds, credits, or chargebacks for change of mind, a rating you dislike, slow matchmaking, a missed screenshot, a playoff, or a later change to your live site. If we never enroll the page because we refuse it or payment fails, we will not keep that $10.

Buying more. The same URL paid again adds 50 more matchups. Rating and win–loss stay. Paying again does not reset the page and does not buy a better rank.

Screenshots. Screenshots are taken when we enroll the page. If you change the live site later, the shot does not update unless you enter again.

Teardowns

What a teardown is. A teardown is a written review of one landing page. It covers the 3 things we think are most likely losing you customers, a fix for each, the order to make those fixes in, and 2 rewritten headline options. If the page has been entered on bluntrank, it also shows its matchup record and the pages it lost to.

What it is not. A teardown is our opinion. It does not buy a rank, a rating, traffic, sales, or any particular result.

Price and payment. A teardown costs the price shown at checkout. Payment is processed by Polar. Their terms apply to the charge. We do not store your card number.

Delivery. We email the teardown to the checkout email within 48 hours of payment.

Your page. You represent that you have the right to have the page reviewed. You let us view, screenshot, and quote the page for the teardown.

Teardown refunds. If we do not deliver within 48 hours of payment, or we cannot review the page (for example, it is down or behind a login), we refund the full price. Once a teardown is delivered, the sale is final. There are no refunds for disagreeing with the advice.

Paid teardowns stay private. We do not publish a paid teardown, or name you as a customer, without your permission.

Free teardowns are public. When we offer a free teardown, for example in a post on X, replying with a landing page asks us to review it and agrees that we may publish the teardown, including screenshots, quotes from the page, and its name and link. We will still confirm with the person we pick before we publish. If you change your mind before then, tell us and we will not publish it.

Our rights over entries

We may refuse, delay, remove, hide, recapture, or relabel any page at any time, with or without notice, including for legal risk, adult or banned content, a complaint, a failed screenshot, suspected fraud, or any reason we think is enough. We may pause voting, matchmaking, or the site. We may change how pairings are chosen, including playoffs when ratings tie for the throne. Our decisions are final.

Removing a page does not entitle you to a refund if it was already entered, except where a law says we cannot keep the money.

License you give us

You grant Wise River, LLC a worldwide, royalty-free, transferable license to capture, host, crop, and display screenshots of the URL, to show the domain and a link, and to use those materials on the site, in emails, and in share images. That license lasts as long as we need the materials to run reports, the throne, and the history of votes.

You keep ownership of your site. We do not claim we designed it.

Voting and accounts

Voting. Voting is free. An account is free and optional. Cookie votes do not appear on the judges leaderboard if the cookie is lost.

Accounts. You must confirm the email. One person, one account. You will not share it, sell it, or run bots, scripts, farms, or extra accounts to farm votes. We may freeze or delete an account and throw out votes if we reasonably think the count was gamed.

Your login. You are responsible for the password and for what happens on the account. We may terminate any account at any time.

Judges leaderboard

Recognition. Signed-in votes appear on the judges leaderboard, which ranks accounts by vote count each month. Your votes and leaderboard rank are tied to your account.

No cash value. Leaderboard placement and vote count have no cash value and cannot be sold, transferred, or redeemed for money.

What you will not do

Ownership. Do not enter a page you do not control, or impersonate an owner.

Banned pages. Do not submit adult content, gambling, crypto-token promotion, scams, malware, or private invite links, or anything illegal.

Abuse. Do not attack, scrape, overload, or reverse-engineer the service, or interfere with other people’s votes.

Endorsement. Do not use the throne, ratings, or our name as if we endorsed you.

Pages we added

Some landing pages were added by us for comparison. Those companies did not pay, join, or endorse us.

The label is: “We added this to judge. The company didn’t submit it.” If you own one and want it down, email hello@bluntrank.com. We take it down the same day.

Third parties

Polar, Supabase, Vercel, Resend, and Urlbox are not us. If they fail, delay, or lose data, that is their problem to the extent the law allows us to say so. Their terms apply to their services.

No warranty

THE SITE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Ratings are opinions of voters, not facts about your business. We do not warrant uninterrupted service, accurate screenshots, or that the throne will be awarded as you expect.

Limit of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WISE RIVER, LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, AND CONTRACTORS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, LOST RANK, LOST BUSINESS, OR COST OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD THEY WERE POSSIBLE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR EVERYTHING CONNECTED TO THE SITE OR THESE TERMS IS CAPPED AT THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR ENTRIES AND TEARDOWNS IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR $10 IF YOU PAID NOTHING.

Some places do not allow these limits. There they apply to the fullest extent they can.

You cover us

You will defend and indemnify Wise River, LLC and its people against claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable lawyers’ fees) arising from your URL, your content, your screenshot, your votes or accounts, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of someone else’s rights. We may take over the defense at your expense.

Intellectual property

The bluntrank name, site design, and our original text are ours.

If you think a screenshot or listing infringes your rights, email hello@bluntrank.com with the URL, your contact, and a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized. We may remove the material. Repeat abuse or false notices may lose access.

Changes and termination

We may change these Terms by posting a new date on this page. If you keep using the site after that, you accept the new Terms. We may stop offering the site or any part of it.

Surviving sections include license (for materials already used), no-refund, disclaimers, limits, indemnity, and dispute terms.

Disputes

Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Wise River, LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that the Federal Arbitration Act governs arbitration.

Binding arbitration. Except for small-claims court and for asking a court to stop unauthorized use of the site or our name, any dispute will be resolved by confidential, individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The seat is in that same state, or by video if both sides agree. The arbitrator may award the same individual relief a court could. Judgment may be entered in any court with jurisdiction.

No class actions. You and we may bring claims only in an individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate claims without written consent from all parties.

Opt out. You may opt out of arbitration and the class waiver by emailing hello@bluntrank.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, with your name, the email you used, and the words “opt out of arbitration.” If you opt out, exclusive venue is the state or federal courts in that same state, and you consent to those courts.

Other

If a piece of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest stays. We may assign this contract. You may not. Failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. These Terms are the whole agreement about the site. Headings are for reading, not for interpretation. You and we are independent contractors. There are no third-party beneficiaries except as named for indemnity and limits.
